RTD EcoPass for Faculty and Staff
Start Planning Now: RTD Projects to Disrupt Most Public Transportation to Campus from May-September
Auraria Campus RTD Employee EcoPass Program
The Aurauria Campus free RTD Employee EcoPass Program has been extended for all campus employees in 2024. The 2024 RTD EcoPass is available to all AHEC, CCD, MSU Denver, and CU Denver faculty and staff and is valid from Monday, Jan. 1 through Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2024. The cost of the pass is being covered individually by each institution.
HOW TO GET YOUR EMPLOYEE ECOPASS
RTD is transitioning their Smartcard system (the EcoPass) to a new Account-Based ticketing system. With this transition, users will be receiving their EcoPass on their phones as a mobile QR code. The transition to a digital pass must be made by December 1, 2023.
To set up a MyRide account, Auraria Campus employees of each institution must download the RTD MyRide app and use their campus email address. Instructions for downloading and setting up your MyRide account can be found HERE. If personal email addresses are used, the pass will require personal funding and will not be paid for by the employees’ respective institution.
After an account is created and the user has a QR code, they must then email a notification to the parking office at RTDJustRideAccounts@ahec.edu. Once the parking office receives the confirmation, they will issue and activate the EcoPass in the app for immediate use. Please note these steps are only for Auraria Campus employees with an ACTIVE pass issued via the AHEC parking office. All Auraria Campus student RTD CollegePasses are already digital.
New Auraria Campus employees, or current employees without a pass, will still need to complete the Auraria EcoPass Authorization Form HERE, download the app, follow all instructions, and then go to the AHEC parking office with your valid institution ID to initiate and activate the new EcoPass.
