Do I have to pay for the Campus ID Card?

If you are an enrolled student, you do not have to pay for an ID card. However, if you are issued a card and lose it, you will have to pay for a replacement. If you are a staff and faculty member, consult with your unit representative to determine who is responsible for paying for ID badges. If you lose your badge and need to replace it, you will be responsible for a replacement fee paid to AHEC.

I have an ID Badge. Do I need to do anything else?

If you have an ID badge, you still need to make sure it is activated. If you have not used your ID badge to unlock an exterior or interior door in an AHEC building (see list below), you will need to be re-activated in the system and have the permissions re-established on your existing card. To do this, call Access Control at (303) 556-4296 during their operating hours from Monday to Friday, between 7 a.m. – 4 p.m. When you call, make sure you are on campus, in front of a card reader at an AHEC building, and access will be granted in real time.

I have deliveries planned. What do I need to do to make sure those deliveries are not interrupted?

CU Denver is working on a process to issue visitor, vendor and community ID Badges that will provide access to buildings. More information is forthcoming. Until then, please assign a contact person or persons for the vendor making the deliveries. Your contacts should make arrangements to meet the vendor at the door to let them in.
