Co-responder Program

The Auraria Campus Police Department (ACPD) currently employs one co-responder through an agreement with WellPower.

The Co-Responders are licensed mental health clinicians who work in close partnership with the Denver Police Department and ACPD, responding to calls involving people who suffer from mental illness and/or co-occurring substance use issues. The collaborative response approach provides an opportunity for the clinician to offer the most effective services to resolve the situation and provide long-term community supports.
