Evacuation Drills

King Center evacuation with fire trucks and students

Emergency evacuation drills are an important part of fire and life safety procedures for many reasons. Not only do they safeguard life, health, property, and public welfare, but they also ensure regulatory compliance.

Drills help ready the campus for orderly, controlled, and safe exiting of buildings in case of an emergency, and also improve certain aspects of fire provisions.

Drills are held at unexpected times and under varying conditions to simulate the unusual conditions that occur in the event of a fire or other emergency situation.
