See Something, Say Something

Man peering into a car window in front of the Tivoli Student UnionIf You See Something, Say Something™ is an initiative aimed at encouraging students, faculty, and staff to be the eyes and ears for a safer campus.

A safe campus requires the joint effort of all community members.

The more observant and involved students, faculty, and staff are in their daily lives, the less likely crime will occur undetected. By watching for and reporting suspicious activity, we reduce the areas where criminals feel safe committing their crimes.

So, how did you do?

And more importantly, what would you do if you saw someone placing a package on a public bench and walking away? Or leaving a backpack near a trash can? Trust your instincts. If it doesn't seem right, it probably isn't. Report the suspicious activity to local authorities, so they can determine if it's harmless, or something more serious.

Did you miss anything?

How well did you pay attention in the "Toss" video? Did you notice that the "Enter" sign turns around? Or that the person in the food truck changes? If not, look again.
