Each year the students from the Community College of Denver, Metropolitan State University of Denver, and the University of Colorado Denver participate in a referendum on whether or not to keep the RTD CollegePass.
For the 2019-20 academic year, the proposed cost of the pass is $125 per student, per semester. The RTD CollegePass covers the following services for students:
- Unlimited access to local and regional bus services
- Light rail and bus services in all fare zones (including SkyRide buses and the light rail A Line service to DIA)
A similar pass for the general public costs $200 per month or approximately $1000 per semester.
2019–20 Referendum Question
