Auraria Executives Council
Auraria Campus
Opening its doors in 1976, the Auraria Campus became the permanent home for the Community College of Denver, Metropolitan State University of Denver, and University of Colorado Denver. The Auraria Campus was a bold experiment by the Colorado State Legislature. The housing of three higher education institutions on the same campus was unique and distinctive. This collaboration was symbolic of the American Dream–no matter where you chose to start your educational journey or how far you wanted to go, the Auraria Campus held the keys to your future. Collectively, the Auraria Campus has grown to become the largest and most diverse campus serving 43,000 students, faculty, and staff and will continue to evolve in partnership with downtown Denver, embracing and celebrating the diversity of our community.
