7th St. Garage

Parking Rate Adjustment Effective July 1, 2023

Effective July 1, 2023, daily fee parking rates will increase $0.25. The Auraria Board of Directors approved a three-year rate structure at their March 30, 2022 board meeting to ensure a stable revenue stream for the campus programs and operations supported by the parking auxiliary enterprise. The three-year rate structure included a rate adjustment to the daily parking fee of $0.25 for July 1, 2022, July 1, 2023 and July 1, 2024.

New Monthly Rates for Payroll Deduction

  • 7th Street Garage | $153 per month
  • Juniper Lot | $120 per month
  • Maple Lot | $153 per month
  • Bronze Passport | $79 per month
  • Silver Passport | $110 per month
  • Gold Passport | $141 per month
  • Accessible Permit | $110 per month

If You Choose to Continue Participation in the Parking Payroll Deduction Program

  • No action is required. The new parking rates will take effect Thursday, June 30, 2023 and be reflected in your payroll deduction.
  • If you choose not to continue with the parking payroll deduction program please contact the Parking & Transportation Services Office at 303-556-2003.

Garages

If you don't have a current valid parking permit or passport payment for parking is required as soon as you park your vehicle on the Auraria Campus, 24/7, 365 days a year.

Register Your Vehicle
Students, faculty, and staff must register your vehicle using their Campus ID and vehicle information to avoid paying the Nights and Weekends parking rate. You may register more than one vehicle. Once you register your vehicle(s), please note that it will take at least 24 hours for your information to be updated in the system.

If You Have a Full-Time Parking Permit or Passport
If you currently have a full-time Parking Passport or Permit through Parking & Transportation Services, there is no need to register your vehicle. Your vehicle is already in the parking system.

If You Have a Custom Parking Permit or Passport
All other permits and passport variations require vehicle registration to cover the days your passport or permit is not valid.

In-person Registration
You may also choose to register your vehicle in person.
Register your vehicle in person by visiting the Parking & Transportation Services Office (777 Lawrence Way, 1st Floor). Be sure to bring your current valid Campus ID or current class schedule and your vehicle registration to register in person.

NIGHTS AND WEEKEND RATES
A $15 Nights and Weekends rate is charged for Auraria Campus parking lots and garages for vehicles that are not registered. *Please note: The Tivoli Garage Nights and Weekend Rate is $20. Nights and Weekends rates are in effect:

  • Monday– Thursday: when parking after 5 p.m.
  • Friday–Sunday: all-day

Tivoli Garage

Located at 9th Street and Auraria Parkway 

  • Payment required 24/7, 365 days a year, immediately upon parking
  • Monday–Thursday until 5 p.m.: $7.75 daily flat rate.
  • *Tivoli Garage Nights and Weekends Rate (Monday– Thursday after 5 p.m., and all day Friday–Sunday): $20 for those who are not registered Auraria Campus community members.
  • Auraria Campus Community members must register their vehicle to ensure they pay the campus community rates no matter when they park.
  • Pay at a pay machine or pay-by-cell using the ParkMobile App.
  • Parking payment is enforced and violators are subject to citation. Citations will be mailed instead of placed on the windshield.

7th Street Garage (please note recent changes)

Located at Lawrence Way and 7th Street

  • Payment required 24/7, 365 days a year, immediately upon parking.
  • Monday-Thursday until 5 p.m.: 7.75 daily flat rate
  • *Nights and Weekends Rates (Monday– Thursday after 5 p.m., and all day Friday–Sunday): $15 for those who are not registered Auraria Campus community members. 
  • Auraria Campus Community members must register their vehicle to ensure they pay the campus community rates no matter when they park.
  • Parking payment is enforced and violators are subject to citation.
  • Parking is available for 7th Street Garage Permit holders and Gold Passport holders.
  • You can pay for parking with the free ParkMobile App, or you can call (877) 727-5457 and enter Zone #3047.
  • After you have parked your vehicle you may remit your payment at the Pay Station labeled PAY HERE located in the parking garage exit lane.
  • Parking payment is enforced and violators are subject to citation. Citations will be mailed instead of placed on the windshield.

5th Street Garage

Located at 5th Street and Walnut Street

  • Payment is required 24/7, 365 days a year, immediately upon parking.
  • Daily Flat Rate (Monday–Thursday until 5 p.m): $6.25.
  • *Nights and Weekends Rates (Monday– Thursday after 5 p.m., and all day Friday–Sunday): $15 for those who are not registered Auraria Campus community members. 
  • Auraria Campus Community members must register their vehicle to ensure they pay the campus community rates no matter when they park.
  • You can pay for parking with the free ParkMobile App.

Daily Fee Lots

  • Payment required 24/7, 365 days a year, immediately upon parking.
  • All surface lots on campus are unattended and require payment by license plate number at a pay station or by cell phone.
  • You may keep the payment receipt for your records, but it doesn't need to be displayed on your dash.
  • *Nights and Weekends Rates (Monday– Thursday after 5 p.m., and all day Friday–Sunday): $15 for those who are not registered Auraria Campus community members. 
  • Auraria Campus Community members must register their vehicle to ensure they pay the campus community rates no matter when they park.

Metered Parking

  • Payment is required 24/7, 365 days a year, immediately upon parking.
  • Parking meters on the Auraria Campus are intended for short-term parking.
  • Parking meters accept credit cards and coins.
  • Parking permits and passports issued by Auraria Campus are not acceptable forms of parking meter payment.
  • State-issued blue disability placards and disability license plates are not exempt from payment at Auraria Campus parking meters.

Motorcycle Parking

  • Motorcycle-designated spaces are available in the 5th Street Garage and Tivoli Parking Garage. 

Overnight Parking

  • Overnight parking is prohibited without prior approval from the Parking & Transportation Services Office. Please call 303-556-2003 for more information. 
  • If a vehicle is left overnight due to an emergency, please call Parking Services Dispatch at 303-556-2000.
  • Vehicles that remain in garages after closing may be retrieved by contacting the Auraria Campus Police Department at 303-556-5000.

University of Colorado Reciprocal Parking 

Faculty, staff, and students with a valid full-time parking permit issued by CU Denver and UCCS are allowed in Elm Lot, Walnut Lot, and 5th Street Garage, with a valid hangtag / placard, conspicuously displayed in their vehicle to avoid enforcement for non-payment of daily fee.
