The Facilities Management Division provides a broad array of services to its customers.  While many of these services are provided at no cost, there may be a charge for some services.  To determine if your department will be charged for a requested service, call (303)556-3260 or refer to our Who Pays page.  Please submit a Work Request when Facilities Management Division help is needed.

Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Shop
  • Operate, maintain, and repair equipment on campus.
  • Operate, maintain, and repair Building Automation & Energy Management systems.
  • Operate, maintain, and repair Fire Alarm and Security systems on campus.
Electrical Shop
  • Maintain interior and exterior power and lighting
  • Maintain elevators, special overhead doors and automatic doors
  • Maintain cranes and hoist equipment.
Plumbing Shop
  • Maintain and operate potable water systems.
  • Maintain sanitary sewer systems.
  • Maintain fire suppression systems.
  • Maintain sand and oil interceptors in garages.
  • Maintain grease traps in food service areas.
  • Maintain steam distribution systems.
Structural Maintenance Services
  • Exterior building maintenance and repair.
  • Roof maintenance.
  • Repair and/or replacement of floor coverings.
  • Repair/replacement of glass, window blinds, and furniture.
  • Inspection and replacement of fire extinguishers.
  • Ninth Street historical houses.
  • Door hardware and operations.
  • Welding and fabricating.
  • Interior and exterior painting.
Access Control
  • Installation of keyed locks, card readers, and special application type locks.
  • Key issue and card encoding.
  • Key control.
Grounds Services
  • Maintain the landscaped areas of the campus
  • Exterior trash removal.
  • Clean campus streets, sidewalks, and parking lots.
  • Paving and patching campus streets and sidewalks.
  • Landscape irrigation.
  • Exterior pest control.
  • Snow removal.
  • Keep RTD platforms clean.
Vehicle Shop
  • Service and repair state fleet vehicles.
  • Annual inspections on fleet vehicles.
  • Maintain and repair campus-owned vehicles and carts.
Custodial Services
  • Routine cleaning, hard floor and carpet maintenance.
  • Emergency and special cleaning.
  • Trash removal.
  • Replenish classroom supplies (chalk, erasers, etc.)
  • Recycling services.
Auxiliary Design & Construction
  • Space modification and remodeling projects.
  • Furniture and built-in office furnishings.
Sign Shop
  • Maintain and repair current campus signage
  • Changes in campus signage: add or drop names, additions to directories new signage and room numbers.
Environmental, Heath and Safety (EH&S)
  • Safety inspections of campus facilities.
  • Disposes hazardous waste.
  • Responds to and coordinates the clean up of hazardous material spills.
  • Investigates and develops recommendations to improve unsafe conditions on campus.
