Auraria Campus Updates Emergency Notification System
Oct.8, 2008

The Community College of Denver, Metropolitan State College of Denver, the University of Colorado Denver (Downtown Denver Campus and Anschutz Medical Campus) and the Auraria Higher Education Center have partnered with Rave Wireless to provide a new and improved emergency alert text and voice-message system capable of delivering messages directly to you should conditions develop on or near our locations that pose a threat of imminent danger.

The Rave Alert system is available to all students, faculty and staff, including AHEC personnel, on the Auraria Campus.  In order to serve you better, we have provided the following contact information to start your registration process:

STEP 1
AHEC Staff: AurariAlert@ahec.edu
            Early Learning Center
            Tivoli Vendor or Contractor
            Facilities Management Contractor
            Other AHEC Affiliates

CCD:  www.ccd.edu or call the Helpdesk at 303.556.4283

Metro State:  www.mscd.edu

UCD:  www.ucdenver.edu or emer@ucdenver.edu

Our goal is to ensure uninterrupted emergency notification capabilities to our existing users. If you provided your mobile phone number previously in the 3n emergency notification system, that number has been transferred to your Rave Alert account for text messaging and voice notifications. Remember, this service will only be used to notify you of an event of imminent danger on or around the Auraria Campus.  It will be tested on a periodic basis using messages clearly marked as test messages.

STEP 2
We will send you an e-mail containing your username and password so you can log into your NEW Rave account.  Cellular phone providers may charge a per-text message fee for the delivery of emergency notifications to your cell phone.  Check with your provider regarding these potential charges.  Go to the site contained within the e-mail to update your contact information and to choose your notification preferences.

STEP 3
After completing the registration process, you may visit the Rave homepage in the future to update contact information, or to change your password or your account status.
