In compliance with the "Timely Notice" provisions of the Federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act of 1998, the Auraria Higher Education Center located in Downtown Denver is issuing notice of a violent crime that occurred on the Auraria Campus. |
REPORTED OFFENSE: On Monday, July 25, 2011, between 11:50 a.m. and 12:00 noon near the southeast entrance of the Auraria Science Building (Speer Boulevard and Arapahoe Street) a victim, with no campus affiliation, reported an indecent exposure incident. The victim, who stood approximately 50 feet away, reported that the suspect adjusted his pants, exposed his penis and then made a suggestive motion with it. The suspect left the area and walked eastbound off campus on Arapahoe St. Auraria Police Officers checked the area with negative results. The Denver Police Department was immediately notified. |
| SUSPECT: The suspect is described as a white male in his 30's with long hair that was dirty in appearance. The suspect was wearing an orange T-shirt, white pants, red hat, and a bright yellow backpack. |
| REPORT SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY: The Auraria Police Department urges everyone to use caution when encountering individuals who are not personally known to them and to stay aware of their surroundings at all times. Please report any suspicious activity or suspicious persons to the Auraria Campus Police Department. |
