TIMELY NOTIFICATION BULLETIN FOR THE AURARIA CAMPUS
March 14, 2008

In compliance with the "Timely Notice" provisions of the Federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act of 1998, the Auraria Higher Education Center located in Downtown Denver is issuing notice of a violent crime that occurred on the Auraria Campus.

REPORTED OFFENSE:
On Tuesday, February 26, 2008 sometime between 7:20 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. a Metro State female student reports that she was a victim of indecent exposure inside the South Classroom Building while she was studying in the cafeteria waiting for her class to begin. The suspect approached and sat down near the victim and asked if he could use her cell-phone. When the victim went to retrieve her cell-phone from the suspect she noted that his genitalia were exposed. The victim then began to gather up her belongings and the suspect exited the area in an unknown direction. The victim was not injured and did not require or request any medical attention. The victim did not report the incident to the Auraria Police Department until March 14, 2008.

SUSPECT:
The suspect was described as a African-American male, light-skinned, 6’3” tall, slender-build, with black hair pulled back into a pony tail, 20 to 30 years of age, wearing tan cargo pants, and a brown winter coat and white tennis shoes with gold speckles. The suspect had no facial hair and was carrying a black shoulder bag.
