The Recital Hall is a charming space, using a green color for the seating and carpet and lobby area. The acoustics are incredible because of the varying pitched concrete blocks located in the sidewalls, acoustical clouds in the ceiling set at a pitch for good sound reflection and the stage being surrounded by maple wood sound reflectors and a maple floor. All of this material creates a rich environment and acts as a backdrop for quartets, quintets, small chamber groups, reader’s theatre, lectures, and video presentations. The hall seats up to 200 audience members and is a proscenium style with the stage at one end of the room.

Unique Features

This space is designed with the student in mind. The space will help a student develop their technique (vocally or instrumentally) to a high degree because of the intimate performing space. There will be less strain on the student's instrument, which will allow the student to grown gradually in their technique. The space is also designed with the performer in mind by creating an intimate space that can house solo, small ensembles, small theatrical scenes, lectures, and film.
