The Concert Hall has been deemed by some of Denver’s finest musicians as one of the best halls in the regional area for the richness of the sound and the tasteful interior design of the space. Part of the walls, seating and carpet are colored in a purple palette which creates a richness against the cream color used for the acoustical clouds and acoustical walls. The stage is surrounded by maple sound reflector panels and a maple floor. A cadre of curtains that can either liven or deaden the hall adjusts the warm rich sound. The stage is large enough to handle up to a 100-piece orchestra and a balcony for a 150-piece choir. The house seats a maximum of 520 audience members between the main floor and balcony.
Unique Features
The largest of the three spaces housed in the King Center, is designed with the audience and performer in mind. The audience is very close to the performing space (stage) and the stage will handle very large ensembles from orchestras to choirs to small musicals and operas. The stage will also handle a large orchestra and choir at the same time.
